Meet the Girl Behind the Lens <3
Hi!! My name is Alexis and I am a photographer based in the Wisconsin/Illinois area.
People ask me how long I've been a photographer and I tell them, technically all my life! I remember when I was younger I would go around at every family event with either a disposable camera or my little hello kitty digital camera. I became more serious about photography in high school, and then started my business my second year of college, about 5 years ago, when I shadowed a wedding and realized that my favorite thing to photograph, was love stories.
My love for photography and my connection to others allows me to create stunning and romantic images of each and every couple I photograph. When I ask couples why they decided to trust me with their moments, they often say because of the emotion they could feel in the images I showed them, and how quickly they felt they could connect with me, and see that my passion is genuine.
My philosophy for every wedding is to document moments as they are happening, letting you experience your first look as it's happening, without being prompted or posed. I want you to remember those core memories how they were, not remember having a camera in your face. And for the moments you need me, I'll be there! I will wrangle family members for portraits, and tell groomsmen exactly where to stand, and I will prompt and pose you for the perfect mix of candid and posed couples portraits.
